Mariana Papagni is a 22 year old photographer born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
"I have been studying photography with different photographers since 2014 and I'm currently doing an annual workshop with Guillermo Ueno. I studied medicine for four years at the UBA (University of Buenos Aires) and now I am about to change careers. All my photos are analog, and I work with a 35mm camera. I photograph my daily life because photography to me is a sentimental diary. It works like a mirror of who I am and what I'm doing. My friends and lovers are my main source of inspiration. I try to capture my relationships and to find some beauty in them, it helps me understand the things that happen to me better. Most of my photographs are portraits of women. That's because I find the way women observe other women very interesting and I believe there's something powerful in that dialogue. I started taking pictures a few years ago and I know there's still a lot of work ahead of me and I'm just starting."
